Since autumn 2020, we have been offering the diagnostic tool of stereotactic or tomosynthesis-guided vacuum aspiration biopsy. According to current breast cancer guidelines, this procedure is the method of choice for clarifying suspicious, non-palpable findings in the breast (e.g. microcalcifications) that cannot be clarified using a sonographic punch biopsy.
The results of a histological examination of these biopsy samples often mean that a necessary operation or therapy can be adapted precisely to the findings in advance, or in the best case even avoided altogether.
